Program Highlights

The Business and Client Relations Programs are designed to meet the needs of students who
will be working in the Retail, Hospitality and Tourism industries in Canada. Students will learn
important information about working in Canada and practical skills that will improve their job
prospects.

Business and Client Relations

Curriculum

Introduction to Business in Canada

This course encompasses both theoretical foundations and hands-on knowledge of Canadian business practices, equipping students with a comprehensive understanding of the workings of Canadian businesses. Topics covered include operational processes, strategic planning, organization, development, and control measures.

 

Hospitality and Tourism

This course provides an overview of labor market information in the Canadian hospitality and tourism industry. Topics covered include effective customer service skills within hospitality and tourism through simulations, role playing, demonstrations, video instruction and group projects.

Customer Care and Client Management

Students will gain insight into essential aspects of the retail industry, while also acquiring a comprehensive understanding of effective customer service skills tailored to this field.

 

Career Connection

This course is designed to instruct and prepare students on the essential entry level work readiness skills required to secure and maintain employment successfully.

 

Business Leadership and Communication

This course focuses on varied methods of business communication for the modern workplace. It also concentrates on Business Leadership Structures and Managing Organizations, examining work cultures and customer relations important to job success and intercultural differences that impact business communication.

 

Marketing and Branding

Students will learn about principles and strategies in the marketing of hospitality, tourism and retail sectors. The course will focus on real life business problems, and this will enhance the students’ analytical thinking, problem solving and leadership skills.

Diploma Only:

  • Instructional hours: 300 hours
  • Length of program: 12 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Diploma with Co-op:

  • Instructional hours: 300 hours
  • Co-op: 300 hours
  • Length of program: 600 hours over 24 weeks (approximately 6 months) *Please consider reading weeks when planning the duration of your studies.

Business and Client Relations Co-op

Diploma Only:

  • Instructional hours: 400 hours
  • Length of program: 16 weeks (approximately 4 months)

Diploma with Co-op:

Admission Requirements
  • 19 years and above
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must reach an IELTS 4.5 or equivalent, complete IH Level 4 Lower Intermediate (B1.1) or TOEIC 550
  • Successful completion of interview with qualified instructor, either online or in person
