IH Career College provides practical career support to help students transition confidently into the workforce. Services include:

  • Resume, cover letter, interview, and networking workshops
  • One-on-one mock interviews and career coaching
  • Job search guidance and employer referrals
  • Support in identifying internships, practicums, or work-integrated learning opportunities (where applicable)

Community Engagement & Student Life

IH Career College encourages active campus and community participation through:

  • Volunteer and community engagement opportunities
  • Health and wellness workshops (mental health, fitness, stress management)
  • Local field trips and cultural exploration activities
  • Student appreciation and seasonal celebrations
  • Open House events for prospective students and families
  • These activities support social integration, well-being, and professional development.

Transportation

IH Career College is easily accessible by public transit. Students are encouraged to use TransLink services, including buses and SkyTrain.

Compass Card

The Compass Card is required for public transit in Metro Vancouver and can be purchased:

  • At Compass Vending Machines (SkyTrain stations, ferry terminals)
  • At select retailers (e.g., 7-Eleven, London Drugs, Save-On-Foods)

Harassment-Free Environment

IH Career College maintains a zero-tolerance approach to harassment or discrimination of any kind. Harassment based on protected grounds under applicable law is strictly prohibited and subject to disciplinary action.

Addiction & Overdose Support

IH Career College recognizes addiction as a health issue and is committed to harm reduction and student safety.

  • Student-facing staff are trained in overdose recognition and Naloxone administration
  • Naloxone kits are available at the front desk and first-aid locations

Emergency response:

  1. Call 911
  2. Notify campus staff
  3. Administer Naloxone if trained
  4. Monitor until emergency services arrive

Students have access to campus computers, free Wi-Fi, and Microsoft 365 during their studies.
